is the atkins diet too radical?
should I stick with just eating less carbs but not cutting them out all the way?
if I eat no carbs, would I be able to work out 30 minutes almost every day?
is it worth it to do 2 weeks as an induction with minimal carbs, enough to keep the fitness going?
I already know that Liv thinks it is too radical.
I know 2 doctors who tried it and the woman gave up after a week because she felt sick.
My best friend gave up after 2 weeks because her brain turned to mush and she couldn't exercise.
Any other experiences you can tell me about? Thoughts? Comments?
Yours truly,

I know that /DN has been wicked busy in Flori-duh... I'm curious how he'll chime in on this...
Again, check out the Body for Life system. It works, and is very comprehensive. I guess it really depends on how radical you want to go, though... The Atikins will give you results, but it is a controlled form of starvation. I think the big plus that you have is that you are a natural meat-eater and probably won't need/crave carbs quite like some folks I know.
ugh - been fighting a funky floridian cold/flu for two days while working a split shift - feeling bad! Very Bad! Not good!
akins. it has it's place - it has it's value - and it really depends on your body-type. As an example, if you want dynamic results, it will work effectively, unless you screw around and "cheat" during the process. To jump start weight-loss, it's very good. Personally, unless I'm eating flour-less chocolate cake, I do my damnedest to avoid the white flour, white sugar etc etc, but that's for maintenance.
Atkins sucks when you are sick - I find it harder to recover during the induction phase.
That being said - taking your body to extremes teaches you about yourself and how your body works. So, Atkins is well worth it. It's hard for the first 3-4 days, hard to think hard to do stuff. then it simply becomes part of the process and isn't so bad. carry snack foods with you (cheese, boiled eggs etc)
and don't let yourself get hungry. Also, don't do the induction beyond 3 months - results are not so bueno as your body brain start freaking out.
Body for life is a good method, just not as dynamic. Different strokes for different folks.
back to eating my apple! ;-)
